Hello! I am pleased to introduce my new foster Koolaid. He is a Harlequin Macaw which is a hybrid between a Blue and Gold and Greenwing macaw. He has been here for just a couple days but is already starting to settle in. He is eating Harrisons pellets and fresh chop and is even eating the vegetables!
It is a little early to know much about his personality, but he seems to like Jamie pretty well especially if she is holding food. He likes to get up peoples shoulders which is a habit we will be trying hard to break when he is more adapted to life here. So far though he seems pretty sweet and at this point not very loud.
Koolaid will need a large cage or even better a walk-in to be adopted. While he seems to prefer Jamie at this moment he has historically bonded to men and ignored other people.
